2年間の学習。世界中の大学への扉を開く資格。
IBディプロマプログラム（DP）は、11年生から12年生（16歳から18歳）を対象とした2年間のカリキュラムで、世界中の主要大学から学部課程への優れた準備として認められています。
生徒は、言語と文学、言語習得、個人と社会、科学、数学、芸術の6科目を履修し、そのうち3科目を高等レベル（HL）、3科目を標準レベル（SL）で学びます。全員が、中核要件である課題論文（4,000語の研究プロジェクト）、知の理論、およびCAS（創造性、活動、奉仕）を修了します。科目は1～7段階で評価され、課題論文と知の理論で追加の3点が加算され、合計で最大45点満点となります。
XWAでは、DPは探究と指導を通して教えられます。教員は、生徒がオープンエンドな研究や議論を行う際に指導し、科目全体でテクノロジーを活用します。専門のウェルビーイングチームと大学・キャリアガイダンスが学業と並行して運営され、8年生以降、学習、生徒指導、大学進学準備が同時に進められるようになっています。

XWA's IB Diploma results consistently exceed the global IB average. The Class of 2025 results show what that translates to in practice:
- Over 385 university offers
- More than US$ 16 million in scholarship offers
- Average score of 34 points; global average sits at approximately 30
- Top scorers placed in the top 5% globally
University offers include UC Berkeley, University College London, McGill, Sciences Po, University of Sydney, NUS, NTU, and SMU, among others.
As of May 2026, the Class of 2026 has already secured over 550 university offers and more than US$ 23 million in scholarships, reflecting the continued strength of outcomes at XWA.
These results matter because XWA welcomes students of all academic backgrounds, and their success reflects the quality of teaching and the strength of student support.
The Group IV Science Trip: Inquiry in the Field
DP science students travel to Telunas, a private island in Indonesia, for the Group IV Science Trip. Students from Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Design Technology, and Computer Science work in interdisciplinary teams on a shared challenge. They design and carry out investigations that draw on their combined knowledge: mapping water quality and applying scientific method in conditions that require them to improvise as well as apply.
It serves as both a CAS requirement and a practical science assessment, and it is one of the signature experiences of the XWA Diploma years. Students return with a stronger grasp of scientific inquiry and the kind of problem-solving that comes from working in a team under pressure.
Six Subject Groups. Higher and Standard Level.

Every student studies one subject from each of the six groups: Language and Literature, Language Acquisition, Individuals and Societies, Sciences, Mathematics, and the Arts. Three are studied at Higher Level, where universities typically look for relevant depth, and three at Standard Level.
Starting from Grade 8, University Guidance builds towards informed decisions. By Grade 10, students choose their subjects alongside counsellors, guided by two years of exploration and a clear understanding of university pathways and requirements.
Personalised Pathways to Top Universities
University Guidance and Counselling at XCL World Academy begins early, with structured support from Grade 8 to help students explore interests, understand career pathways, and make informed subject choices. As students move into the IB Diploma, this evolves into highly personalised guidance on university applications, including course selection, country-specific requirements, and application strategy. With a low counsellor-to-student ratio of around 1:30 per grade, students receive dedicated attention and tailored support at every stage.
Families are closely involved throughout the process, with regular engagement sessions and access to experienced counsellors who guide both students and parents through an increasingly complex global admissions landscape. From pre-university testing and preparation to final applications, students are supported every step of the way, building the clarity, confidence, and readiness needed to succeed at leading universities worldwide.
IBディプロマはXWAの3つの最終学年進路の一つです
全ての生徒がIBディプロマを履修するわけではありません。10年生では、XWAのDPコーディネーターと大学・キャリア指導チームが連携し、生徒一人ひとりの強み、興味、大学進学の目標に合った進路を選択します。IBディプロマプログラム、アドバンストプレイスメントコースを含む高校卒業資格、またはそれらの組み合わせです。目標は、画一的な最終学年ではなく、各生徒に最適な選択肢を提供することです。
ガイダンスは8年生から始まり、ご家族はXWAの大学・キャリアガイダンスチームと共に、情報に基づいた意思決定を行うための丸2年間を得られます。
IBディプロマを選択する生徒にとって、初等教育課程から中等教育課程を通じて学んできたカリキュラムは、ディプロマで求められる探究心と研究習慣を育むものでした。生徒は、すでに身につけている知識を基盤としてDPに進みます。

CASは、創造性（Creativity）、活動（Activity）、奉仕（Service）の頭文字を取ったものです。ディプロマプログラムの2年間を通して実施され、生徒は芸術プロジェクトやスポーツから、地域奉仕活動、生徒主導の取り組みまで、学業以外の活動に参加する必要があります。
