Table of contents

Our students have achieved outstanding results in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme each year. They have a 100% pass rate, an average score of 34 and a top score of 44 out of 45. It is a lot to shout about. Individual achievement is equally outstanding, and we would also like to celebrate our students’ exceptional performance. We are proud they have gained placements in institutions such as the University of California, Berkeley and Boston University in the USA, McGill University and Toronto in Canada, University College London and King’s College London, Science Po in France, and the University of Sydney.

What gives us the ability to achieve such high standards?

At each stage of your child’s educational path, we strive to support their growth and development beyond their own expectations. By fostering global connections, providing diverse educational options, empowering students, nurturing a dedicated teaching staff, and acknowledging the pivotal role of our students in driving our success, we ensure an enriching experience

What is Our Winning Formula?

1. Navigating the unique challenges of third culture students

We help students find the right destination after guiding them through discussions that only Third Culture Students face: such as where is “home” and their career opportunities based on their passport. Then, we guide them through career exploration, assessments and personality tests. For some, this has meant summer study programs or internships with doctors or lawyers over the school holidays. For others, this has been attending taster lectures with university professors such as Professor P. Shukla, Head of Digital and Data-driven Marketing at Southampton Business School, or attending online workshops through Cilafo.

2. Global connections and professional career guidance

Our ability to provide exceptional guidance stems from our extensive global reach. Our Career and University Guidance department actively engages in multiple networks, including the Council of International Schools, Global University Counsellor Connect, Dutch Higher Education Network, and the International Association of College Admissions Counsellors. We take pride in our recent collaborations with renowned educational institutions such as Oxford, Cambridge, Columbia University, UCLA, Yale-NUS, King’s College London, and the University of Toronto, among others. By actively participating in these conferences and networks, we remain well-informed about the latest trends and considerations in university admissions, enabling us to offer the most up-to-date guidance to our students.

3. Diverse graduation pathways

We are proud to offer a wider choice of secondary years educational programs than most other international schools. Through the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or an XCL World Academy Diploma (accredited by WASC), we provide educational pathways for every student. Although the options are different, each pathway shares the scaffolding inside it, which builds essential skills and independently-minded students. Through these pathways, we facilitate early career exploration for students, empowering them to develop a clear sense of their desired fields of study post-high school. By engaging in these initiatives, students gain the confidence and clarity needed to make informed decisions about their educational choices.

4. Passionate educators and counsellors

Our dedicated team of careers and guidance counsellors provide students with the support they need. We mentor our students to be self-advocates and partners in identifying their academic, athletic and artistic progress. This commitment is reinforced by our school leadership team, who diligently ensure that each student is paired with a dedicated university advisor. These advisors offer personalised, one-on-one guidance on various aspects of the application process, including choices, procedures, as well as scholarship and financial assistance. Their expertise and support play a crucial role in helping students navigate the complexities of university admissions successfully.

We must acknowledge that our teachers play an essential role in scaffolding learning. We greatly appreciate their unwavering dedication in assisting our students. We have witnessed numerous teachers who consistently go the extra mile by conducting mock interviews and crafting exceptional reference letters. In addition, our teachers provide valuable guidance on study skills, time management and develop tailored action plans to support their student’s academic progress. Their commitment and efforts contribute significantly to our students’ overall growth and success.

Our winning formula has consistently demonstrated its effectiveness, enabling our students to achieve not only improved grades but also secure offers from prestigious global universities. This proven approach has played a pivotal role in our student’s academic accomplishments and their successful admissions to renowned institutions worldwide. Read more about our IB results:
