Educational Positions

Admin Positions

XCL World Academy is seeking to appoint a Head of Finance to join the dedicated team. The successful incumbent will manage all aspects of the operational management of the Singapore schools’ finances, including consolidation and reporting of the financial and operational information.

Main Responsibilities

Leadership

  • Lead and manage the shared service finance team by mentoring and developing a strong and skilled team of individuals.
  • Demonstrate leadership and support the whole team, ensuring career development and sound performance management practices are in place.
  • Provide direction on job descriptions and division/separation of duties and responsibilities.
  • Act as interface between the finance team and the various school/business unit team on all financial matters.

Governance / Compliance

  • Support the General Manager, Singapore Schools in all governance / compliance related matters.
  • Liaise with the group’s auditors and lawyers to ensure all statutory obligations of the company and directors are met in a timely manner.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax and other statutory returns in coordination with tax / other advisors.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures for financial management and safeguarding assets.
  • Design and implement a robust and reliable system of internal controls and procedure.

Financial

  • Provide timely and accurate monthly financial information, including but not limited to financial reports for regular management and board meetings and month end review of financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
  • Oversee the collation / consolidation of Singapore schools and the reporting of the financial and operational information, if required.
  • Oversee the statutory audit and tax compliance process, ensure financial statements and tax filings are completed in a timely manner.
  • Forecast cash flow.
  • Flag potential covenant and/or compliance issues early.
  • Support the teams within the legal entities on all bank relationships and debt facility matters
  • Ensure cash flow is effectively managed on an on-going basis within each legal entity, as well as maximizing the opportunities when the business has surplus cash available; manage cash during low points in the business cycle and ensure no liquidity surprises.
  • Monitor KPI’s and highlight opportunities and potential threats
  • Support the General Manager, The Department Managers, and the Board, as necessary on financial matters and new projects and developments.
  • Responsible for book close, budget, financial modeling, dashboard reporting, forecasting and monthly reporting.
  • Prepare the monthly management reporting, including variance analysis and commentary to local management, as well as the XCL Board.
  • Monitor and improve Working Capital in Singapore Schools
  • Provide input and execution of country accounting related policies and procedures and ensure compliance with local legal requirements.
  • Conduct internal audit procedures, as necessary

Person Specifications

  • Minimum Degree qualification in finance or accounting with a CA/CPA.
  • 10-15 years relevant experience in finance and accounting with 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Experience leading or working in a shared service function is strongly preferred. Team leads in large shared services are encouraged to apply.
  • Audit experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong accounting systems background using established ERP software e.g., Microsoft DAX, Oracle Netsuite, SAP, etc.
  • Strong reporting and analysis skills, including preparation of dashboards (e.g. Power BI)
  • Seasoned finance leader with proven track record of exceptional performance in managing teams
  • Commercially astute with effective business partnering skills
  • Demonstrated efficiency of execution, flexibility and adaptability
  • Highly motivated with an eye for detail and quality of work

XCL World Academy has a vacancy for an Admissions Manager who is highly energetic, team-oriented, customer-service focused, and sales-driven professional, who is keen on leaving his/her mark on a very dynamic business and environment.

As a member of the frontline team, the Admissions Manager will play a significant role in driving and growing the admissions sales, as well as helping to target and reach goals set out for both the individual and the team. The Admissions Manager plays an important role in representing and providing senior level advice to prospective and current families in all aspects of school enrolments from Nursery to Grade 12 level. He/she needs to have the ability to develop a deep understanding of individual parent and student needs, and appropriately tailor the approach to each situation to provide a personalized and excellent customer journey for every family. The Admissions Manager must also be able to interact confidently with different stakeholders such as recruiting ,relocation agencies and embassies etc. The applicant should be able to prepare and conduct high quality presentations to these stakeholders. The Admissions Manager is to be a brand ambassador who understands the school’s value proposition and appreciates individual parent and student needs to effectively sell the school to prospective families.

Main Responsibilities

  • Qualify and convert visits into firm applications, helping to drive new enrolments.
  • Develop personal rapport with prospective parents and students.
  • Conduct pre-visit surveys to gather as much information on specific needs, background and profile of each parent and student to prepare and tailor the approach for each family.
  • Deliver personalized and excellent customer journeys to each prospective parent and student.
  • Conduct 1 to 1 and/or group tours of the school and answer parent and student queries during post tour consultations.
  • Provide post tour follow up with each individual family continuing to foster a personal relationship
  • Ensure that CRM system records pertaining to families and admissions are maintained and captured accurately.
  • Act as a brand ambassador and present the school to prospective parents and students at recruitment events, open days, and information sessions locally and in overseas markets.
  • Build relationships with key partners, affiliates, and influencers in the communities locally.
  • Assist families from application process through to enrolment.
  • Continue to maintain relationships with families after enrolment
  • Keep up to date with latest teaching practices including PYP, MYP frameworks, IB Diploma Programme and IB Career-related Programme.

Person Specifications

  • Minimum Diploma or Degree in Business Management or other related courses.

Highly energetic and creative Graphic Designer, Photographer & Videographer who will be able to support the Marketing Department to develop designs to communicate ideas and inspire and captivate internal and external consumers.

Main Responsibilities

  • To support the Marketing Department to communicate the school’s key messages by developing appealing online and offline design concepts that are aligned with the school’s brand identity and guidelines;
  • To be responsible for all kinds of graphical design works for the school including designing school brochure, newsletters, spectrum, banners, posters, online banners, online adverts, handbooks, students’ diary, yearbook and other graphic design items;
  • To liaise with printers and suppliers at all stages of publication and delivery to ensure the delivered product is of a high quality and fully meets the brief;
  • To ensure all publications, website, and marketing collateral of the school is effectively branded, visually eye-catching, appeals to its target audiences, is creative, and supports the brand positioning of the brands used in Singapore, currently XCL World Academy and XCL American Academy;

  • Liaising with employees and vendors to plan out ECAs at XCL World Academy

  • Working closely and coordinating with the Transport Company to ensure running of bus service during camps and ECAs

Main Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support laptops/ desktops with device upgrades and deployments.
  • Deploy Security Patches and MDM configurations for Apple devices
  • Provide first level troubleshooting on wireless printers and scanner, including iPad and other electronic devices.
  • Respond to enquiries from staff/student and help them resolve basic hardware or software problems
  • Install, test, and deployment of Apple devices to end-users.

Person Specifications

  • Minimum ITE/ Diploma in an IT-related discipline
  • Experience working as a desktop or IT support technician, fresh graduates with basic IT knowledge are welcome to apply for this position.
