XCL World Academy has a vacancy for the school year 2024-2026 for a Teacher Partner to assist students from Grade 6 to 9. This is a full time 2-year contract position.

Main Responsibilities

• A Teacher Partner would directly work with students supporting the teachers on a daily basis with the educational program and lead classroom duties such as assisting Homeworks, organizing folders, notifying parents on updates of students and assisting students during activities and breaks.
• Able to support the students with reading, writing, listening and speaking.
• Manages and interacts with children in a positive and supportive manner and would assist in execution of instructional plans by supporting children individually or in groups in the classroom.
• Build on student capabilities and differentiate to meet student needs.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students.

Person Specifications

• Minimum Advanced Certification/ Diploma in Early childhood courses or in relevant courses
• Registered with Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) would have an added advantage
• Excellent proficiency in English (reading, writing, listening and speaking)
• Proficient in the use of technology and online applications
• Preferably Certified in Child First Aid
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in working with children as a full time Homeroom Teacher Assistant would be preferred.

XCL World Academy is seeking to recruit a Director of Technology & Innovation. The successful incumbent will be responsible for providing leadership and management of the IT operations, processes and controls across the organization, as well as supporting the academic innovation and collaboration with XCL Education group.

The IT Director will oversee the IT infrastructure, hardware, systems, security, policies and programs, and supervise the IT staff. As a member of the extended leadership team, the IT Director will develop and implement the IT strategy and vision in alignment with the school’s mission and goals.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the IT infrastructure, hardware, systems, security and network, ensuring reliability, availability, performance and scalability.
• Develop and implement IT policies, standards, procedures and best practices, ensuring compliance with external and internal requirements, such as data protection, privacy, intellectual property and copyright.
• Plan, manage and be accountable for the IT budget, guiding purchasing decisions and investments, fostering good relationships with vendors and service providers, and ensuring cost-effectiveness and value for money.

Person Specifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related fields.
• Minimum of 5 years of leadership, management and technical experience in IT operations, processes and controls.
• Strong working knowledge and technical competence in IT infrastructure, hardware, systems, security, network, cloud, database and project management.
• Knowledge and experience in overseeing Apple Computer Corp. environments, including MacOS and iOS deployment in a 1:1 environment.

XCL World Academy is seeking to recruit an Enrolment Manager to support and process student’s application for a place in the school. The Enrolment Manager (EM) will undertake and facilitate the internal review of each application, make recommendations and submit for final approval.

Main Responsibilities

• Manages the application pipeline to ensure prompt follow-up and processing of all applications, to smoothly and efficiently, facilitate admissions decisions.
• Responsible for engaging with other internal stakeholders (Student Support Department, Divisional offices, English as Secondary Language Department and University and Career Counsellors).
• Check applications for completeness and inform the Admissions Manager if there are missing information, documents, and prerequisites in support of the application before the review.
• Perform initial screening of the completed applications and make recommendations based on submitted information, documents, assessments, and interviews (if applicable) and submit for final review.
• Coordinate interviews and assessments with relevant school departments whenever applicable.
• Liaise with the prospective families and schools to gather more information whenever applicable.
• Assist in the management of the specific needs of international applicants, including guardianship requirements, EAL testing, Student Pass and MOE waiver applications.
• Facilitate re-reviews for non-successful applications or appeal cases.

This is a 1-year Relief Contract position where you will be contacted on an ad hoc basis when a cover requirement arises.
