Educational Positions

Admin Positions

XCL World Academy is seeking to recruit a highly creative Graphic Designer to join the dynamic Marketing Department to develop designs, communicate ideas and inspire and captivate internal and external consumers on various collaterals and websites.

Graphic Design (80%)

  • Support the Admissions & Marketing Departments to communicate the school’s key messages by developing appealing online and offline design concepts that are aligned with the school’s brand identity and guidelines.
  • To be responsible for all kinds of graphical design works for the school including designing school brochure, newsletters, spectrum, banners, posters, online banners, online adverts, gifs, handbooks, students’ diary, yearbook and other graphic design items.
  • Liaise with printers and suppliers at all stages of publication and delivery to ensure the delivered product is of a high quality and fully meets the brief.
  • To ensure all publications, website, and marketing collateral of the school is effectively branded, visually eye-catching, appeals to its target audiences, is creative, and supports the brand positioning of the brands used in Singapore, currently XCL World Academy and XCL American Academy.
  • Develop templates for routine marketing and communications items that can be easily adapted and reused and are in line with school’s brand guidelines.

WordPress & Website Management (10%)

  • Upload and edit images/visuals and editorial content.
  • To make minor design changes to WordPress pages or Blog Pages.
  • Update and maintain WordPress sites.

Photography & Events Support (10%)

  • To display and then to remove banners, posters, slides and other marketing media throughout the school, ensuring that marketing displays are topical, thematic and up to date.
  • Take photos, videos and edit them for some of the school’s events and activities, and create marketing collaterals using the photos and videos taken.

Others

  • Perform other job-related and administrative duties as reasonably requested.
  • To support Events organization as required.

Person Specifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Graphic Design.
  • Advanced level spoken and written English language skills.
  • Proficiency in a second language is a plus (esp. Mandarin to liaise effectively with Mandarin speaking stakeholders).
  • Experience developing innovative and imaginative design concepts.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Comfortable working within both a Mac & Windows environment.
  • Experience of working with WordPress Content Management System.
  • Experience of working with Canva and video editing software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Passion for design and a highly creative, innovative personality.
  • Good time management skills, and highly detail oriented.
  • Strong ability to explain and discuss design decisions and concepts.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Nice to have but not essential:

  • Copywriting or copyediting skills.
  • Other language proficiencies such as Japanese or Korean.
  • WordPress web development skills.
  • Ability to use Gen AI for design.

XCL World Academy is seeking to recruit a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to ensure company resources are allocated in an optimised manner to support growth and to achieve the planned financial performance, while ensuring superior student learning outcomes and our stakeholders’ (students, colleagues, etc.) experiences.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate, timely and effective monthly management accounts and forecasts, including P&L, Enrollment, CAPEX, and cash flow.
  • Provide financial visibility through routinely communicating financial and operational performances, risks and opportunities, to management. 
  • Develop actions required to achieve planned financial performance with management.
  • Lead activities supporting the development of the Annual Budget and 5 Year Plan.
  • Ensure that appropriate and adequate internal inputs (incl. financial and operational data) and external resources (e.g. market research materials) are used to (1) demonstrate understanding of market landscape and regulatory framework and (2) support the strategic plan.
  • Develop and own financial models for the Annual Budget and 5 Year Plan.
  • Review / assist country leaders to prepare decks for Group and Board’s approval.
  • Monitor and drive the execution of Annual Budget and 5 Year Plan once approved.
  • Business partner with academic and functional leaders. 
  • Provide senior leadership with relevant analytics and appropriate tools for decision-making – financial and operational.
  • Lead development of CAPEX investment plan and business case.
  • Drive operational efficiency review and support feasibility review of new initiatives.
  • Prepare presentations in support of senior leadership meetings; or materials for ad hoc reporting.

Person Specifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent, MBA highly preferred.  
  • 5 years’ experience in FPA or business development roles.
  • Strong leadership skills required. 
  • Experience in operating entities of MNC preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills, experience in Business Intelligent tools (PowerBI) preferred.
  • Agility: able to adapt to projects of differing magnitude and nature.
  • Collaborative: able to engage and motivate different stakeholders.
  • Granularity: demonstrate strong attention to detail. 
  • Good communicator: strong written and verbal communication skills.

XCL World Academy is seeking to hire Teacher Partners (Relief) to assist Pre-K to Grade 5 students in classes during the absences of Full Time Teacher Partners for temporary periods. This is a 1-year Relief Contract position where you will be contacted on an ad hoc basis when a cover requirement arises.

Main Responsibilities

  • A Teacher Partner would directly work with students supporting the teachers daily with the educational program and lead classroom duties such as assisting students with learning, organising folders, notifying parents on updates of students, and assisting students during activities and breaks. 
  • Support students across all aspects of learning (academically, socially, and emotionally). 
  • Manages and interacts with children in a positive and supportive manner, assisting in the execution of instructional plans by supporting children individually or in groups in the classroom. 
  • Help with picking up and dropping off students with class teachers for lessons, to the library, cafeteria, bus bay, nurse station, or at other facilities.  
  • Undertake playground supervision as per the duty roster.
  • Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for students’ physical, social, and emotional development. 
  • Be a positive role model for students and support the school’s mission.
  • Work collaboratively and professionally with peers by showing respect, being prepared and punctual, and always adhering to the school-wide norms and team essential expectations.
  • Play an active role in co-planning, co-teaching, co-assessing, and co-reflecting with the Homeroom Teacher and other colleagues. 
  • Involve students in shared reflections during and at the end of each unit consistently.
  • Evaluate the program collaboratively with teaching partners, parents, and students as appropriate, using agreed flexible systems.

Person Specifications

  • Minimum Advanced Certification/ Diploma in Early childhood courses or other relevant courses.
  • Registered with the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) would have an added advantage.
  • Excellent proficiency in English (reading, writing, listening, and speaking).
  • Proficient in the use of technology and online applications.
  • Preferably Certified in Child First Aid.  
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working with children as a full-time Homeroom Teacher Assistant would be preferred. 
  • Provides excellent customer service to parents, students, teachers, and school leaders.
  • Promote and market the school to relevant stakeholders where appropriate.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, parents, students and the wider school  community 
  • Due to employment pass limitations, candidates who do not require a pass to work in Singapore will be considered for the role. 
  • This is a 1-year Relief contract position.
  • Cover arrangements will be informed to shortlisted candidates in the early morning or a day before commencement. Candidates must be comfortable to commence work within a short notice.

Preference will be given to teachers who have relevant subject-specific IB PYP experience, as well as a clear track record of teaching in international school settings. Due to the nature of the contract, candidates must be residing in Singapore and be eligible to work in Singapore.

Preference will be given to teachers who have relevant subject-specific IB MYP/DP experience, as well as a clear track record of teaching in international school settings. Due to the nature of the contract, candidates who are Singaporeans, Singapore Permanent Residents or have a pre-approved pass (Eg: Letter of Consent) to work in Singapore will be considered for the role.
